Collect your replacement Rec Club access fob ASAP from CW Management Office

A new access control system for the Rec Clubs was put in place in August 2014 following the unfortunate corruption of the previous system's software. Thanks to everyone who has collected their replacement fobs. However, there are still a lot of residents who need to collect their fob. One fob has been designated to each CW home - one adult resident from each home needs to collect it.

If your fob is not blue & black then you need to collect your replacement fob from the CW Management office ASAP.  The old fobs will no longer work. Their marina office (located above the Sales Office) is open Mon to Fri 8am-4pm and Sat 8am-2.30pm. Their office number is 5561 8809.

You will need to fill out a Registration Form when collecting your fob so please bring PROOF OF CURRENT ADDRESS including your driver's licence, official bills or your rental agreement. Click here for the Registration Form - you can opt to print this out and complete beforehand - please leave the FOB number blank at the top. Copies of the form will also be available at the CW Management Office.

Security alert - close your garage door

Our Security Team has noticed a lot of garage doors being left open across the estate lately. This presents an obvious security risk. Please be advised that Security will be knocking on front doors to alert residents if their garage door is left open up until 11pm.

Rec 2 water all clear

Thanks to all those who came along to the Resident Meeting on 20 March to meet with representatives from QLD Health and Gold Coast Water about the recent water cross-connection at Rec Club 2.

All enquiries about this matter should be made to Council on 1300 465 326.

BACKGROUND - Click here to read the initial letter from City of Gold Coast (Council) about the water cross-connection discovered on 6 March at Rec Club 2, resulting in closure of the facility until Sat 8 March. Cross-connection means that Class A + recycled water had been incorrectly plumbed and supplied to fittings that had been installed for potable (drinking) water and vice versa. The water cross-connection was fixed and tested - lab results prove that all's clear. The pool has been emptied, refilled and tested. All water lines have been flushed. Rec Club 2 reopened on the afternoon of Saturday 8 March.

Thanks to the whole community for their patience and understanding. Special thanks to Matt and Michael from CW Management who worked long hours with GC Water to resolve this situation.

The Body Corporate, Body Corporate Managers and CW Management were not responsible for this situation.

Gold Coast Water says there is a very low risk for short-term exposure to Class A + recycled water, however, any residents who are feeling unwell after consuming water, showering or using the pool at Rec Club 2 should contact their doctor. Their doctor should then contact Gold Coast Public Health Unit on 5668 3700.

Update your details with Security

If you are new to the estate or have new contact details (ie. phone numbers, email addresses etc) then please contact Security so they can update their database, especially in regards to alarm monitoring.

Crime rise - secure your cars, boats and homes

Residents are strongly advised to;

  • keep vehicles secured (locked inside your garage where possible)
  • padlock boats to pontoons
  • lock all doors and windows in your home
  • when vacating your home please DO NOT leave car keys or house keys within your premises
  • do not leave your remote garage door opener in your car when parked on your driveway
  • regularly use your household alarm and have it monitored (Security can help you with this 5501 9299).

Great work from our Security Team ...
